Warning: the web build might be unoptimized and might not recognize gamepads correctly. The online multiplayer might fail to connect too, if run via the browser version. It is strongly advised to play this game on a PC (possibly with the help of Radmin VPN). The web build might also not be compatible with WebKit based browsers.

It's sketching time!

Bored students scribbled on their school diaries for generations during lectures. Now, it's time for those scribbles and sketches to DUKE IT OUT, in a world of squared paper and pen!

Two buttons is all you need

Two attack buttons, four direction arrows and you're set. No blocking, no ducking. Avoid attacks while back dashing and bounce the opponent sketches against the walls and back!

A bizarre cast

Including a cat girl, a demon lady, a drilling dinosaur mecha and a spider robot - with more to come!

Rollback netcode!

This time for real! Direct IP rollback netcode, for the first time in a published Der Mondhase game - courtesy of the Godot 4.2 Snopek Rollback Netcode plug-in!

Features (so far)

  • Local versus (player vs player, player vs CPU, CPU vs CPU)
  • Three CPU difficulty levels
  • Training mode with save states and hitbox viewers
  • Direct IP rollback netcode (*tested only on the Windows PC build of the game, requires port forwarding or a middleware such as Radmin VPN or Hamachi)
  • Four playable characters
  • Two stages (press LB/RB or Q/E in the character selection screen to scroll among them)

Roadmap (missing features)

  • Control remapping
  • Less cumbersome way to play online
  • More characters and stages
  • More songs and sound effects
  • Arcade mode (hopefully!)
  • In-game move lists

really neat and fast paced game! the artstyle is really cool. i don't know if it's just lack of experience, but i find a lot of the moves hard to input. i'm even having a hard time consistantly imputing 2j

With 2J you mean the jumping spike attack or simply Down + Attack? Currently there is a small issue where, if a direction and an input button are pressed simultaneously, the game might "eat" the direction - but it's fairly limited and *might* be the cause of the air attack input issue. Try keeping Down pressed before pushing the attack button. I have seen it happening mostly on j.2A, but I'm investigating it. Other than that, which other moves are difficult? I didn't think I found issues with the special motions, but any feedback is welcome!
